The Patricia H. Ladew Foundation in Oyster Bay, NY is a sanctuary for homeless cats that are rescued primarily from Animal Care and Control in New York City and from various Long Island municipal shelters. The sanctuary recently received a major makeover by the master of shelter makeovers, Mario Arbore, the owner of Square Paws and mastermind behind other fantastic transformations, including the two Billy Joel rooms he created for Bianca’s Furry Friends Feline Adoption Center at North Shore Animal League America in Port Washington, New York.
