The American Association of Feline Practitioners is hosting its annual conference this weekend. Unlike last year, when the conference was entirely virtual, this year’s conference is a hybrid event with the in-person event taking place at the Phoenix Convention Center in Phoenix, Arizona.
In a normal year, the conference draws more than 1,000 veterinarians from all over the world. I’ve had a lot of fun attending previous conferences in person, and I always learn so much, which in turn allows me to bring you the latest in feline medicine via my articles.
Sadly, I’m not ready to get on a plane at this point, and anything inside a conference center is too “peoply” for my tolerance level, but I’ll be participating virtually all weekend long.
This year’s theme is anesthesia, analgesia and surgery, and they will cover plenty of other topics, too. I’ll miss the interaction with vets and others passionate about feline health, but I look forward to watching the lectures and sharing what I learn with you.
