This past week, for the first time in almost a year, I really started to believe that there is a light at the end of the tunnel, and it’s not a train heading for us.
Even amid the solemn remembrances of the more than 500,000 lives lost, there were increasing signs of hope for a brighter future. New infections and deaths are down, vaccinations are up, and it feels like the pandemic coming to an end is now more a question of when rather than if.
And while we have no way of knowing what that end and a new post-pandemic world will look like, I do feel a bit lighter. It seems like now, it’s just a question of hanging in a little bit longer, and surely we can all do that?
How are you feeling these days? Are you feeling a little more hopeful?
