Houston SPCA investigator Maverick Wagner faces an emergency dash through lunchtime traffic to rescue an emaciated cat, trapped in an empty house. The cat collapses moments after Wagner arrives and he knows the cat’s chances of survival are slim. In Liberty County Investigator Debbie Michielson faces a huge challenge when she encounters a pack of feral dogs that need emergency medical care while at a farm a pot bellied pig belonging to a grieving widow needs life saving surgery to remove a swelling that could be cancerous.
